We are happy to announce our Summer workshop for youth will be led by April Rose. July 29 – Aug. 9  with performance dates of August 10 and 11.  Applications are available by request at  info@stevensvilleplayhouse.org or call 777-2722.
April says of this workshop: “I want to encourage children to find their voices, and encourage them to express themselves in a fun and artistic way…this workshop will help them to find and hone skills in acting that maybe they didn’t know they had.”

The arrival of spring allows NVPL to present a March event postponed due to ungracious weather, The 24th Annual Chocolate & Authors event will be held on First Friday in the Community Room at 206 Main, from 4:00-7:30pm. Come chat with nearly 20 published authors while indulging in luscious chocolates or healthy alternatives—cheeses, meats and veggies. The Library closes for regular business at 4pm to host the celebration. The theme, “Authors Hear a Who,” will be a great conversation starter. Should you wish to purchase books from the many genre and subjects, the authors will gladly autograph! Raffle tickets for great prizes will be available for purchase at the front desk from now through the evening of the event. Every $5.00 donation wins a chance at the door prize. Profits from Chocolate & Authors help the Library fund its children’s and adult programs as well as many of the extras they offer to patrons every day. Come to support your local library and have a great time doing it!

River’s Mist is all ready for Western Heritage Days with displays of Western-influenced art by our local artists. Find out about Coding for Kids, a nonprofit after-school and summer program training in coding and robotics for kids grade 2 through high school. Representatives will answer your questions about this amazing program. While browsing the artwork, be sure to check out the beautiful new silk and wool yarns in a glorious selection of colors. Bob Anderson is our new artist creating Hand Carved Characters. Be certain to buy your raffle tickets for our beautiful forever bouquet with all proceeds going to the Stevensville VFW. On First Friday the gallery will be open 11am till 9pm. Summer hours: Mondays through Saturdays, 11am-6pm.
